New Dean Appointed

Professor Mohan De Silva, MBBS; MS; FRCS(Edin); FCSSL, Professor of Surgery, was appointed as the Dean, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura with effect from 17th January 2011.

Diploma in Counselling - Intake of third batch

The Diploma in Counselling course conducted by the Department of Psychaitry celebrated the intake of its 3rd batch of students with a commencement ceremony, held on 25th March, 2011 at the Faculty of Medical Sciences.

Annual Scientific Sessions - 2010

The Annual Scientific Sessions of the Faculty of Medical Sciences were successfully held on 11th & 12th November 2010 at the Faculty of Medical Sciences.

A medical graduate from University of Sri Jayewardenepura tops merit order list

We are jubilant to announce that Miss A.T. Matthias, a medical graduate from University of Sri Jayewardenepura has been placed first in the Merit Order List of MBBS Graduates - Final MBBS (Main) Examination for the 2002/03(A) Intake, released by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

She tops a list of 730 medical graduates from all universities passing out in 2009.
