PRESIDENT RECOGNIZES SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATION

Eight academics from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura received President's Awards for Scientific Publications in the year 2010, 2011 and 2012, at a ceremony held on the 31st October 2014. The ceremony was graced by His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa, the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. President's Awards for Scientific Publication recognize the outstanding research published in prestigious scientific journals by Sri Lankan scientists whose work has reached international standards. The awards ceremony was jointly organized by the National Research Council, the Ministry of Technology and Research and the Presidential Secretariat and these awards are considered the nation's most prestigious awards for research publications.
