ANNUAL CHARITY WORK

Annual Charity work of Faculty of Medical Sciences Teachers' Association (FMTA), University of Sri Jayewardenepura was successfully held on 19^th and 20^th May 2017 at 3 schools.

• Bd/Kurugama Vidyalaya, Monaragala
• Bd/ Gampaha Vidyalaya, Wellawaya
• Bandarawella Darmapala Maha Vidyalaya, Bandarawella

Laboratory equipment, chemicals and science models were handed over to science laboratories of all 3 schools.

A foster parent (කැපකරු මාපිය) scheme was established to give scholarships to 12 needy children. The foster parent scheme will begin in June 2017. A sum of Rs.1000/- will be deposited in a bank account of the relevant child at the beginning of every month until the child finishes his O/L examination or for a duration of period decided by the foster parent. The child will utilize it for his or her educational or other related needs. The child will send you a progress report certified by the class teacher and principal biannually (after the 2^nd and 3^rd term tests).
